Passengers on board the flight included minors under 18, pregnant women, elderly people, sick people with underlying illnesses, and those living in difficult circumstances.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand sent its staff to assist the citizens with necessary procedures before their departure time.

Security, safety and hygiene measures were carried out throughout the flight to protect their health and prevent the possible spread of the virus.

Upon landing at Van Don International Airport in Quang Ninh province, all those on board received health check-ups and were sent to concentrated quarantine facilities according to regulations on COVID-19 prevention and control.

More repatriation flights are set to be conducted in the coming time to bring home Vietnamese citizens with disadvantaged circumstances, depending on their need and the nation’s quarantine capacity.
