Many routes throughout the locality suffer from landslides which cause severe difficulties for local people when attempting to get around. Floods cause damage in the province exceeding tens of billions of VND. As a consequence of the floods an array of trees and large rocks are now blocking many roads, with hydraulic drilling needed to break the rocks. It is likely that recovery efforts will take over one month to complete. The rebuilding efforts result in disruption to local residents. The socio-economic development of districts such as Nam Nhun, Muong Te, and Sin Ho has been negatively affected.
