President Ho Chi Minh was a key figure in leading the nation to success in the noble struggle for national independence. A momentous day in the country’s history came on September 2, 1945, when he read the Declaration of Independence to declare to the world the foundation of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now known as the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Indeed, the past 75 years has seen the President’s testament become the torchlight for the Vietnamese revolution and ongoing national success.
